Well, this will be the last tailoring newsletter of the year.
I thought something more general would be good, and a simple ranking of sales over the past year would have been fine, but I felt it wouldn't be very interesting.
So I decided to do a slightly different ranking.
As the title suggests,
"To be announced in 2024! Top 3 favorites from designers!"
Designer Wakita has created a ranking of his favorites from the new models and colors announced by TAYLOR WITH RESPECT in 2024.
It may be rude to ask the creators to rank things, but please forgive us as it is a little end-of-year fun.

3rd place!
mesa,col.06 Gray & Gold Gradation!
Coming in third place is Mesa's new color.
Gunmetal is a common color for glasses, but by combining it with a gold gradation, it gives the color a distinctive Taylor look.
Gray has a slimming effect on the face, while calm gold blends in perfectly with the skin.
Although the color scheme may seem strange at first glance, it has been well received both at home and abroad for its unprecedented look.

"The new color scheme is a relatively basic gray for glasses, but by expressing it in a gradation with gold, which Taylor is good at, we were able to create a high-quality feel and a little glamor. It's an excellent color that you won't find anywhere else."
2nd place!
Starting from 2024AW, dude!
Personally, I predicted it would come in first, but when I asked him why it was second, he said he thought it was too easy to put dude in first place.
Nerd designs have become popular in recent years, but from the creators' perspective, it's something they really don't want to see become popular.
Taylor currently offers three types in this category: dweeb, dork, and dude, all of which are Taylor's take on Japanese items from that time.
The design remains the same as it was back then, but the models embody the brand's character with their coloring, adjustment range, and comfort.

"Since childhood, I have had complexes about glasses, but now I can design and wear the same design myself. It's a coincidence that the eras are linked, but even I was surprised."
And the honorable first place goes to...
From 2024SS, tape!
The item will be released in 2024, and designer Wakita believes that the masterpiece he will create is tape.
Some people may be a little surprised to see tape come in first.
Although it has a unique hybrid bridge design, it is a model that uses the same techniques as phi and is designed to be easy to wear.

"The reason we chose this design is that it is a shape that has existed since the early days of glasses, and we were able to incorporate it into a unique design that only Taylor could create, rather than a nostalgic design."
Wakita always says this.
"TAYLOR WITH RESPECT is not doing classical music."
This model, which truly embodies this spirit, took first place.
