[Quickest Commentary] TAYLOR WITH RESPECT 24AW slick (Slick)

Thank you for your continued patronage of Taylor with Respect.

This fall's new model will be the 4th generation, which will be a fairly substantial announcement, but we hope you will continue to follow us.

Following on from Contour and Nimbus, the model we'd like to introduce this time is Slick.

Be sure to watch until the end to see Taylor's first double-bridge style.

_________

First, the specs...

Model name: slick

Size: 47 □ 19-144

Top and bottom: 40.6mm

Material: Titanium / ꞵ Titanium

Color options: 5 colors

Retail price: ¥ 58,300 (tax included)

This is the brand's first attempt at a two-bridge model.

The unique form has been designed not to be excessive, giving it a clean impression.

The bridge that connects the Boston shape is one with the front, so there is no risk of the part coming off.

The design is playful, but without compromising the quality of the glasses.

Among the many classic designs, this is a category that tends to divide opinions.

Two-Bee embodies the motto, "People who like it will love it," but it still takes a lot of courage for a manufacturer to make it.

What if it doesn't sell? That's what he was always worried about, but the fact that he was able to create such a sophisticated design that is far from clumsy is due to Waki's experience as a leading eyewear designer.

(However, from a sales perspective, we are making the minimum lot size for the first batch.)

The model name "slick" means "proper, cool" in English, and it perfectly matches the appearance of the frame, which is a nice touch.

Not only is the design comfortable to wear, but the craftsmanship is of course tailor-made.

Both bridges are made from a single piece of titanium, created using a new mold and pressed multiple times.

The space between the two bridges is made by cutting with a drill, but this was something that even our partner factory MAX, which has some of the best technology in Sabae, had a lot of trouble with, and they were only able to achieve it after much trial and error.

Therefore, its robustness without soldering makes it the most durable tool available.

Easy-to-wear two-bridge glasses are now available from a variety of brands.

However, while Slick guarantees a clean and easy-to-wear design, the size 47 is a little small for this type of frame.

If the lens size were one or two sizes larger, it would be buried in the crowd.

The modest size gives it a neat look without looking sloppy and adds a touch of individuality.

"Not overdoing it" seems to be a common sensibility for designer Wakita, and I think this size adjustment is impressive.

Slick will also be releasing a new color for the first time for the brand .

That's the "hammered color."

The latest version is Col.05 Hammamed Silver.

This is the world's first surface treatment that creates a hammered look ; the unevenness is not created by hammering.

The electroplating process allows for a variety of colors to be applied.

In fact, we will be announcing another world first expression.

For more details, please see the tailoring newsletter that will be released at a later date.

_________

This concludes our introduction to the new Slick.

This is the brand's first pair of two-bridge glasses, and I'm excited to see how they will appeal to eyeglass connoisseurs.I would also recommend these glasses to anyone who has never worn glasses of this type before.

This is a sure-fire model that's sure to please, so why not try it out at a Taylor in store to broaden your collection?
