Taylor with Respect is pleased to announce four new models and one new colorway as part of its 2025 Autumn/Winter collection.
In this edition of Tailoring Newsletter, we will be introducing one of our new models, Valley .
・First, the specs
Model name: Valley
Size: 49□20-143
Material: Titanium / ꞵ Titanium / Acetate
Color options: 3 colors
Reference price: ¥ 67,100 (tax included)
The original T-spine part used on the front is a new acetate combination that resembles the thighs of a two-bridge design. The unique front design combines the form of a crown panto with two-bridge design. This model is characteristic of the brand, taking advantage of the unique features of design, function, and quality.

The model name "valley" means valley , as the name suggests.
* Valley - A river or valley sandwiched between mountains, with many flat areas at the bottom. It can also be described as a valley with deep, steep sides. It was given this name because it looks like a T-spine bridge spanning the valley .
This valley is the eighth model equipped with the original part "T-SPINE". The number of models using T-SPINE has gradually increased since the release of void in 2022, and they have now become an important group of models that make up the brand.
This is a good opportunity to explain what T-SPINE is.
(Please note that I will be breaking down industry terminology a bit.)
_________
・T-SPINE
One of the original parts developed by TAYLOR WITH RESPECT.
A titanium reinforcement part is built into the front of the case, where the lens is located, and fits along the inside.
Acetate, a plastic commonly used in eyeglasses, is often used by TAYLOR WITH RESPECT due to its wide range of expression, which comes from its unique beautiful color and ease of processing.
However, there is a risk that it may become damaged due to deterioration over time, or that it may become deformed and unable to maintain its original shape over the years.
To solve these problems, the T-SPINE was developed as the most rational reinforcement part.

In fact, similar reinforcement parts have been around for a long time.
However, all of them use a technique called "crimping," which involves layering plastic and metal and inserting metal fittings into the joints to crush and crimp them together.
It gives a minimalist impression and has been used in the eyewear industry for many years, but it has many problems, such as the joints becoming loose after long use and the difficulty of repairing if the plastic is damaged.
However, TAYLOR WITH RESPECT does not use any riveting, but instead fastens the parts with screws.
If it were a screw, it could simply be tightened if it became loose, and because it is not crimped, the individual parts can be easily disassembled, meaning that in the event of an emergency, all that is required is a replacement part.
This T-SPINE is made by pressing titanium, a hard and durable material that is difficult to process, multiple times and then carving it out from a single thick plate.
The screw holes are meticulously designed to fit securely into other parts, making this an extremely important part that embodies the meticulous craftsmanship that the brand has pursued since its inception.
It has a particularly strong affinity with clear plastic, and the way the beautifully curved T-SPINE is visible through the front gives it a more luxurious and functional feel, and the design goes beyond the framework of a reinforcing part that would normally be hidden.
_________
In fact, this valley has a unique feature in its color variations.
① TAYLOR WITH RESPECT original acetate fabric
Col. 01's gradient black uses a uniquely blended acetate color, a first for the brand. By reflecting Taylor's signature gradient on the fabric itself, it creates a beautiful look that further conveys the brand's worldview.
② First use of matte colors
Surprisingly, I have never used the black matte front plastic before.
This was our first attempt, but because the original fabric used was sheer, it didn't look monotonous and wasn't too rugged.
Therefore, the color name is clear matte black.
③ Unnatural color No.
The valley released this time comes in three colors.
Col.01 Gradient Black, Col.02 Gradient Brown, Col.05 Clear Matte Black. Stay tuned!
・A word from designer Waki

This concludes our introduction to the new Valley.
A new and highly functional two-bridge design equipped with T-SPINE.
This model has been designed to expand the range of options available in stores.
We hope you will come to the exhibition to actually touch the products and use them to help you introduce them to your collection.
