Thank you very much for your continued patronage of TAYLOR WITH RESPECT.
This is Taniguchi from Sowell.
There are three new models for the 2025SS.
We also have explanatory articles on fog and merge, so if you haven't read them yet, please take a look at them later.
This minimalist Boston bag is called "hoop."

First, the specs...
Model name: hoop
Size: 46□20-140
Material: Titanium / Titanium
Available in 5 colors
The lightest in the brand
The Hoop, named after its rim shape which resembles the grooves of a wheel, is the first model to feature the newly designed S-line temple.
Although it is the brand's lightest frame, it boasts many never-before-seen features, such as an original bridge with increased strength achieved through four-point welding and a completely redesigned tip.
In fact, this hoop is the commemorative 50th model of TAYLOR WITH RESPECT.
This is the 50th model and a large new addition to the family.
There is a lot to say about this model, so I will introduce it point by point.
I tried to make the articles easy to read, but this one might be a little longer than usual...I hope you'll take a look when you have time.
①New Temple
Up until now, all of Taylor's metal hands have been the same.
However, this hoop uses new temples that are newly created from a mold.
It is different from the current model in many ways, and there are three main differences.

1. Length
The temple length has been shortened by 4mm to match the slightly smaller front of 46□20.
Even if you bend it properly when adjusting it, it won't look awkward when folded.
Of course, it has a wide range of bending, so it can be easily adapted to people with small faces.
2. Thickness
The S-line section is 0.1mm thicker than the current model.
It's impossible to tell with the naked eye, but if you regularly have your tailor adjusted, you may be able to notice it with your fingertips.
It feels like it has increased rigidity, and it has a more comfortable hold than its delicate appearance suggests.
3. Temple end
This is the most obvious change.
The brand icon, the letter "T", is now placed on the left and right, with the tip now thinner.
Another point is that the expression changes depending on the color.
② Coloring
This "goodness" can be seen especially at the front desk.
As the name suggests, the hoop was named after the shape of the wheel.
If you look at the rim in cross section, it looks exactly like it is concave.
This shape really shines when it comes to coloring.
◎Col.02 Let's take antique gold as an example.
First, the entire piece is gold plated as a base, and then an antique-style gunmetal plating is applied on top.
The surface gunmetal plating is then scraped off to reveal the antique gold, but in the process the gunmetal plating in the recesses of the rim is not scraped off and remains, creating color differences like masking .

Of the five colors available, the four colors except for col.05 Matte Black have a shirred design, giving them a sophisticated impression.
*Shirring is a type of treatment that enhances the texture of metal, creating a hairline that looks worn. Almost all of Taylor's metal, not just Hoop, is sheared, which creates a unique and luxurious look.
③Price
The suggested retail price for Taylor's basic all-metal sole and diadema models is ¥55,000 (tax included).
Even cheaper than those, trim and bagua cost ¥48,400...
This hoop costs ¥39,600 (tax included) .
It may be rude to talk too much about the price, but I think it's amazing that a product of this quality can be made in the 30,000 yen range, even though it's made in-house.
Of course, it is equipped with S-line temples and cloud pads, but the coloring has been designed to differentiate it at this price range; specifically, it does not have a gradient or distressed finish.
So I hope people will recognize that we are trying to differentiate ourselves.
A word from designer Waki-san...
"We used a unique rim line that we have never used before. We used an original bridge with four points to increase strength, and original temples with newly designed temple tips that are 4mm shorter in size. This is a small and simple model that can be used by people with small faces or severe myopia."

This concludes our introduction to the new hoop.
This was a long post, but thank you for reading to the end.
Although it is a minimalist model, it is a new model with attractive new parts and a great price.
We recommend this as an entry level Taylor model.
