[Limited color again] fuse, col.08 Sparkle

This time, a series of coincidences led to the birth of fuse's mysterious col.08.

The color name comes from "Sparkle - the effect seen when light is reflected, especially on transparent materials."

It was truly a product of chance; something unexpected happened during the manufacturing process, and we were able to produce only a very small number of them.

Fuse comes in a clear version of col.05, which has unfortunately been discontinued.

Depending on the lot, celluloid clear may vary in color, with some appearing to be bluer than others, even for clear celluloid with the same fabric part number.

Col.05 clear, a slightly pink fabric, was very popular, but unstable production led to it being discontinued as it was not suitable for Taylor's collection.

It has been several years since the color was discontinued,

The new color to be sold as a successor to the clear color is col.08 Sparkle.

The reason I used the word "coincidence" at the beginning was because of a misunderstanding between the fabric manufacturer and the partner factory.

As I mentioned earlier, "color variations occur depending on the lot of celluloid clear" means that,

"Even if you specify the same fabric part number as last time, the color may change depending on when it was produced."

It's not that either party is at fault, but there was a slight difference in how each party perceived the color, and the color ended up being different from what was expected.

Note: This has now been improved, and even clear products are now divided into different product numbers according to color.

I remember that when we heard about this project from our partner factory, our tailor team was actually quite happy in the car, saying "This looks like we could make something interesting!"

The fabric was purchased and turned into fuse, with the total production being just 36 pieces .

Excluding samples, overseas stock, and stock available for repairs, only 12 units will be available for sale in Japan.

The brand previously released limited edition colors to commemorate its 6th anniversary, but they have never been produced in such small quantities, and these may be the hardest shoes to obtain in Taylor's history.

So what is it like...?

To put it simply, the color is clear light blue.

It is also an incredibly clear light blue color .

Depending on the angle, it looks like it has a slight grey tint to it.

The metal used is solid titanium, making this a dazzling piece with a transparent look.

The combination of clear fabric and solid titanium is truly "Sparkle."

Solid titanium is titanium that has been polished to a beautiful finish and has not been treated with any precious metals, making it even safer than the naturally allergy-free titanium.

The screws and pads are also a lustrous silver, giving the overall impression one of Taylor's purest guitars .

The integrated titanium piping mechanism in the end pieces and bridges, which Taylor has used since its early days, can be seen through the beautiful material, giving a greater sense of the intricacy of the piece.

The bridge is particularly impressive; to think that this part was made from a single piece of titanium without any welding is so impressive that it leaves you speechless, wondering how on earth it was made.

Taylor's manufacturing method is unique in the eyewear industry, and we have made it possible by asking some of Sabae's best craftsmen to perform extremely difficult tasks.
